Prayers for the Week of Brexit

Decisions about Brexit have left some feeling elated, others despondent, and many exhausted. Whether we share a majority opinion or champion the voice of a significant minority, we all need to learn to live well together.

During the week that the UK left the EU, Corrymeela offered prayers for peace, solidarity and understanding. We enter into a future with many questions, but we continue to believe that better relationships can transform our divisions, and that something greater than any of us unites us all.

Spirituality of Conflict

Spirituality of Conflict is a website dedicated to reading the gospel texts through the lens of conflict and reading conflict through the lens of the gospel texts. We publish reflections for the gospel reading for every Sunday of the three year lectionary cycle, and we will also publish reflections for occasions that warrant human attention throughout the year: everything from St. Patrick’s day to World AIDS day.

prayer guide 2.jpg

This book of 31 collects, inspired by short extracts from the gospels, was written by poet, theologian and former Corrymeela leader Pádraig Ó Tuama in 2017. It follows the daily prayer schedule of the Community, offering new insights into living a life of reconciliation. Other themes include living truthfully in community and sharing meals, arguments and hope at the same table. All proceeds from the sale of the book fund the work of Corrymeela.
